On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,201. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.173 billion and the number of lots traded was 5,958. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.378 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 924.089 million, WTI crude oil PKR 910.646 million, silver PKR 277.552 million, DJ PKR 265.450 million, platinum PKR 213.332 million, NSDQ100 PKR 99.229 million, SP500 PKR 38.157 million, copper PKR 36.831 million, natural gas PKR 15.846 million and Brent crude oil PKR 14.670 million.
In agricultural commodities, 13 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 5.461 million were traded.
