Provincial Minister Primary and Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir, while reviewing the headway of ongoing and new schemes under Annual Development Programme 2017-18, said that well-timed accomplishment of development projects is the topmost primacy of Punjab government as it will bring relief for general public.
He was chairing a review meeting of committee for implementation of development projects. It was informed that there are in total 719 schemes of Highway I-II, Building I-II, PHED, RDA, Small Dams, WASA, PHA, Local Government & Community Development and ABAD worth of 91822.010 million rupees. As many as 110 schemes have been completed while work is under progress on 541 schemes for which deadline is 31st June 2018.
The minister said that no delay in the completion of any such scheme will be tolerated whose funds have already been released. "All these schemes are aimed to facilitate common man and once completed these projects will be beneficial for us so more than just a professional task, we need to sense our social responsibility in this regard," he said.
