Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said on Sunday that it welcomes National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation into alleged misuse of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government helicopter by Imran Khan. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, PTI Spokesman Fawad Chaudhary said "we welcome investigation against party chairman in helicopter case as PTI wants Pakistan where everyone is accountable before the law".
However, he stated that why NAB did not took notice of helicopters used by Pakistan Muslim League (N) leaders in Punjab and Pakistan People's Party in Sindh. He said that footages are available everywhere of transportation of food to Murree on helicopter, the authorities must take notice of that as well and construction of Raiwind wall by Rs 250 million and spending Rs 7billion on security of Raiwaind during the last four years.
PTI spokesman also rejected former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif claim at a public gathering at Peshawar that chairman of PTI despite claim that the province will provide electricity to the entire province, did not produce even a single megawatt during the last four and half years. Chaurdhary said that 74MW electricity was produced while 300 dams have been constructed and 650 MW electricity projects are ready for power generation.
He said that former prime Minister and Maryum Nawaz have been making false statements in the public gathering. PTI spokesman said that Nawaz Sharif should also hold public meeting in London because British government is going to start investigation against his unexplained wealth. He said that Nawaz Sharif Avenfield is among the five big properties chosen by the British government for investigation into the unexplained wealth.
He said that PTI welcomes new law about unexplained wealth and instructed the party in the London to cooperate with British government. Sharif family's wealth in the Britain belongs to the people of Pakistan and should be spend on their welfare. He said that former prime minister wanted to pressure the judiciary but he does not know that intimidating judiciary is not possible in a changed Pakistan.
