Pakistan Institute of International Affairs (PPIA) has launched a book titled "Afghan Papers", written by Agha Masood Hussain here at institute's library on Saturday. Speaking to the gathering, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan said that the US must withdraw its forces and evacuate from Afghanistan for the better future of the country. "Foreign elements should abandon their presence in Afghanistan as soon as possible", he said.
He suggested for intelligence sharing between Pakistan, India and Afghanistan for the better solution of the war torn country. Author of the book Agha Masood said foreign assistance being given to the Afghanistan for the betterment of the masses is being embezzled by the Afghan government. "International donor agencies must investigate the funds plundering by Afghanistan", Masood said. He said that negotiations between Taliban and Afghan government in the presence of foreign stakeholders are the only solution to Afghanistan issue.
He said infighting in Afghanistan has led to the civil war in Afghanistan. "Pakistan must also expose the Indian involvement in Afghanistan as the Indian secret agencies are involved in creating disturbance in the region", Masood added. Journalist Mahmood Sham shed light on the content of the book, saying that book featured significant information to understand Afghan issue. He paid tribute to Agha Masood for producing masterpiece on unrest in Afghanistan issue.
Former Governor Sindh Kamal Uddin Azfar also presented his papers during the ceremony.
