The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a protest against the Indian atrocities committed against the Kashmiris people in the Indian Occupied Kashmir here on Friday. Prominent Kashmiri leaders Yaseen Malik, Mashal Malik and PTI Azad Kashmir General Secretary Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan led the protest. A large number of PTI workers, lawyers, and civil society activists took part in the protest.
While addressing the protestors, Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan and Mashal Malik said that Pakistan stands with the oppressed people of Kashmir. They fully support the Kashmiri independence struggle and on February 5 the people of Pakistan will come on the streets to show their solidarity with the people in the Indian held Kashmir.
According to them, the Indians have crossed all limits in committing atrocities in the Indian Occupied Kashmir while the international community and the Muslim world are silent. Scarifies given by the Kashmiris will pay off one day as they will continue to fight the oppressors till they get independence.
They also condemned the arrest of prominent Kashmiri leader Yaseen Malik by the Indian forces and added that his life is in danger. "The Indian force is continuously killing innocent people in the Indian held Kashmir. The Indians claim of being the biggest democracy in the world; what kind of democracy is this where the entire Kashmir is kept in hostage," he added.
They said the people in India raise their voice for the rights of animals, but they keep silent over the rights of the Kashmiris. They further said that the international community has to play its role in resolving the Kashmir issue. They urged the Pakistani government to set up a permanent desk in all Pakistani embassies with a task of highlighting the Kashmir issue.
