Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Wednesday said the country cannot afford anarchy or chaos and the need of the hour is that all should collectively work for prosperity of the country. "Collective approach is needed to move the country forward," he said, adding: "I would continue to work for national prosperity till my last breathe.
While talking to elected representatives, here today, Shahbaz said the PML-N has always come up to the expectations of the people and it will achieve mammoth mandate of the people in the general elections of 2018. "Our life and death is with the people and we will continue to serve them with same zeal," he said, adding: "There is no other priority more important than public service."
Shahbaz said the performance of the elements making hue and cry of so-called change is before the people. The elements that have not produced even a single megawatt of electricity in their province are afraid of the process of development, he opined.
He said the conscious people cannot be befooled through hollow slogans of change because they know that change does not occur through sit-in and lockdown and the so-called claimants of change have done nothing except wasting time of the people.
He said that speedy completion of energy projects is a conspicuous proof of our performance as we have started working on the energy projects immediately after coming to power. Overcoming the age old problem of load-shedding is the achievement of our government as the darkness of load-shedding is over, he said.
Moreover, talking to Minister of State for Religious Affairs Pir Amin-ul-Hasnat Shah and Chairman Quran Board Punjab Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Sialvi, Shahbaz said that Pakistan needs national unity and cohesion than ever before.
