As year 2017 is ending in next three days and the country is cash starved to meet its international obligations, the political and religious forces are closing their circle around Sharif brothers to take revenge of June 2014 Model Town tragedy and blunder of changing wording of oath of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat.
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ur-Qadri has succeeded in bringing all opposition parties including Asif Ali Zardari, Imran Khan, Ch. Brothers, Sirajul Haque, on one platform in order to bring Shahbaz Sharif and his cohorts before courts for trial on the charges of killing 14 PAT workers and seriously injuring 100 others by police force.
Former President and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is likely to meet Dr Tahirul Qadri tomorrow (Friday) again along with a delegation comprising Khursheed Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Rehman Malik to discuss future course of action in the APC on Saturday in light of Justice Baqir Najfi's inquiry report.
A very confident and exuberant Dr Qadri said "while the elder Sharif went home in Panama case, the younger brother will go home in Model Town case. He said the nation should be informed on whose orders the police force of 45 police stations came for operation in Model Town, if not on those of the Chief Minister himself.
Meanwhile, the deadline given by Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi for resignation of Rana Sanaullah to resign before 31st December on account of his controversial statement expires within three days on 31st. Pir Hameeduddin and other Ulema and Mashaikh belonging to JUP and Sunni school of thought have threatened that in case the resignation was not forth-coming they would stage a march in the provincial capital from Data Darbar on 4th January that would continue till end of PML-N government.
Meanwhile more and more religious and political parties are announcing their support for sanctity Khatm-e-Nabuwwat. Political observers have noted that though the disqualified prime minister is putting up a brave face, against the coming bad times for his party, his younger brother CM Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif left for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday on a special plane sent by the Saudi government to "hold important meetings there." It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia has been Pakistan's best friend since its inception and tried to bridge destabilizing political differences between the government and opposition parties.
