The trade and industry representatives have welcomed the appointment of Dr Miftah Ismail as Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs, with the status of Federal Minister. They appreciated the step taken by the Prime Minister to form a new finance team which was the need of hour.
They hoped that Dr Miftah Ismail would focus on resolving the social and economic challenges faced by the country and try to reform the taxation system and providing maximum relief to the already overburdened tax payers. They reposed full confidence in Dr Miftah Ismail's ability, acumen and expertise to uplift the economy. They said that it is a very good decision in the interest of Pakistan and economy. They said that the country is facing very uncertain conditions since last many months with affecting industries, trade and all other sector of economy adversely.
They hoped that condition will improve and Pakistan perception, which was tarnished abroad, will be improved considerably. President of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI), Tariq Malik said that Miftah Ismail is a qualified intelligent economic expert and a successful Industrialist as well.
He said Miftah holds the highest credential for the post and business community see a ray of hope with this appointment. He sees this decision as right choice by federal government. All Pakistan CNG Forum's Chairman, Junaid Makda extended heartiest congratulations to Dr Miftah Ismail on his appointment reposing full confidence in his ability, acumen and expertise to uplift Pakistan's economy. FPCCI President Zubair F Tufail, S M Muneer and Iftikhar Ali Malik hailed the appointment of Dr Miftah Ismail and appreciated the step taken by the Prime Minister.
