The outflows of foreign investors'' portfolio investment (FIPI) from Pakistan capital market continued due to concerns of offshore participants over various issues. Foreign investors remained on the selling side during the current calendar year and withdrew over $496.060 million from capital market as compared to an outflow of $344.040 million recorded in the previous calendar year.
According to the current data of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL), foreign investors withdrew $13.275 million during December as compared to an outflow of $122.598 million recorded in the same month in 2016.
