In Giving We Receive - CSR at Greenwich University

Goodness is an investment that never fails. In a world where the focus is primarily on profit making, organizations that believe in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) stand out. Greenwich University is one such organization. More universities around the world are integrating social responsibility into their mission statements. We, at Greenwich University, also believe that higher education is complete when it gives back to the society that is responsible for funding it.
The concept of CSR works where responsible companies either individually or in collaboration with not-for-profit organizations focus on campaigns with dual purposes: one is the raising of profits and the other is to nurture and endorse philanthropy. Another means of being socially responsible is to make sure that your organization doesn't leave a negative mark on the environment in the form of irresponsible use of energy, water and fuel, or expelling industrial waste. Installing energy-efficient lights and recycling will not only help improve your world but will also end in measureable cost savings. Yet another way is to contribute to society.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Statement supports our strategic vision, assists the University's decision-making and reassures that our activities are carried out ethically, sustainably and for larger public good. Greenwich University, in its corporate policy, philosophy, and practice, has shown unwavering commitment to social responsibility.
Our faculty, staff and students organize and contribute to welfare programs, designed especially to assist the under privileged and marginalized sections of society. We serve in areas of public healthcare, education and skill development for community welfare in partnership with other universities, businesses and hospitals.
We work with several schools to engage with children who come from backgrounds that don't traditionally prioritize tertiary education. We try and sensitize them towards the benefits of higher learning. This is how we bring the CSR examples home.
