Spot basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat on Tuesday were unchanged in the southern US Plains as farmers eyed a slight jump in K.C. HRW wheat futures, dealers said. The Chicago Board of Trade K.C. March HRW wheat futures contract at 12:41 pm CST (1841 GMT) was up 1-3/4 cents at $4.21 per bushel, helped by short-covering along with dry conditions and cold weather expected in the Plains as the week progress.
