Piracha urges political parties to evolve accountability system
Deputy chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, has impressed upon the political parties to weed out the black sheep in their ranks and evolve an effective accountability system in order to ensure sanctity of ballot and to revive the masses; confidence in the elections. He was talking to a delegation of PILDAT headed by Mazhar Lodhi, which called on him at Mansoora, on Tuesday.
Farid Piracha also called for the training of the political workers for improving the working of the political parties and to ensure effective participation of the electorate in the polls. He said it was essential to inculcate the culture of tolerance and cooperation among the political workers.
The delegation chief said that PILDAT was organizing training of workers of political parties for realizing these goals and senior leadership of political parties besides those discharging electoral duties would attend these workshops. Farid Piracha appreciated the working of the PILDAT in this respect.
