Deputy chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, has said that some elements within the country had a greater hand in the fall of Dhaka than the enemy but till today, neither those responsible had been named nor had the nation been informed of the true facts. Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said that Bangladesh's blood thirsty leader Hasina Wajid was executing the JI leaders in her country for their loyalty to Pakistan and she had full patronage of the US and India. He urged the Muslim rulers to learn a lesson from the tragedies like the fall of Baghdad, the fall of Gharnata and the fall of Dhaka and unite for the liberation of Baitul Maqdis.
The JI deputy chief said that the BD Premier Hasina Wajid was holding trials of the JI leaders in clear violation of the tripartite agreement between Pakistan, India and Bangladesh under which clemency was announced for all concerned and it was decided that nobody would be tried for the events of 1971. However, he said, that the BD Premier was playing in India's hands. He said it was a pity that the Pakistan government was totally indifferent and was completely silent on the BD trials for so called war crimes.
