The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Lahore Garrison University (LGU) have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish long-term, sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of bilateral interest for promoting research, industrial linkages, trainings, education and employment opportunities between the two institutions.
The MoU was signed by Vice President and Regional Chairman FPCCI Manzoor Ul Haq Malik and Vice Chancellor LGU Major General Obaid Bin Zakria (retd). Manzoor Ul Haq said that both the organizations are willing and motivated to have extensive and deep-rooted linkages to create synergy between the academia and industries, considering as the dire need of time, for the betterment and welfare of our youth and nation.
It has become trend of our society that they blame the government for high rate of unemployment. No doubt the government should create opportunities to overwhelm high rate of unemployment but the most acceptable argument is that we have not promoted entrepreneurship, he commented. "The LGU has taken a bold step for the betterment and advancement of research and I really appreciate it because it is dire need of our nation."
