Pakistan's not-for-profit organization ChildLife won all three awards for best poster presentation at the Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine (ESEM) Conference in Dubai. ChildLife won top three "Best Poster Presentations" out of the 89 posters presented at the event.
Topics winning the first, second and third positions were using short messaging services (SMS) for behaviour changes in emergency room settings, ChildLife had participated last year with 12 research abstracts on topics like telemedicine in public sector hospitals and post-discharge patient outcome. Dr Irfan Habib, head of clinical affairs at ChildLife Foundation, conducted a workshop on "Root Cause Analysis - Mortality and Morbidity Meetings".
With three successful and rapidly growing editions, and more than 1,100 delegates, with more than thirty countries participating, and a successful scientific programme delivered by over 100 reputable local and international speakers, ESEM is becoming the largest and best emergency medicine conference in the Middle East, according to a press release.
