Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehrik Allama Tahirul Qadri has congratulated PTI Chairman Imran Khan over getting a clean chit from the Supreme Court and dismissal of allegations levelled by PML-N petitioner Hanif Abbasi against him as mala fide.
In a statement after announcement of the apex court's verdict, Dr Qadri said Imran provided all the documentary evidence and money trail for owning of his property in Pakistan and answered all questions of the court during the prolonged hearing of the case.
He said the courts are free and giving independent decisions on merit. However, about the rejection of plea for re-opening of the Hudaibiya Papers Mill case against the Sharif family, the PAT chief said it has been proved that the prosecutor NAB was hand in glove with the money launders of the national wealth and did not pursue the case properly thus the accused got off scot-free.
He said it was for the first time that an independent JIT was formed to investigate the Panama papers in which Nawaz Sharif was caught red handed and was disqualified to hold public office for life.
