Complying with the order of Federal Ombudsman, Pakistan Railways (PR) has reinstated an employee on his (BPS) grade-9 position. He was removed from the service after departmental inquiry on harassment charges. Malik Muqaddar Zaman, an employee of Pakistan Railways Karachi Division was removed from the service on August 10, 2017 after the department received a complaint against him under 'harassment at workplace act' filed by a group of female doctors of Hassan Railways' Hospital at Karachi Cantonment Station.
Later, he challenged the dismissal filing complaint with the Federal Ombudsman. On December 5, 2017, the order came in his favour. The Divisional Superintendent (DS) issued notice to the concerned departmental heads citing Federal Ombudsman's order that Muqaddar Zaman son of Abdul Aziz AYM/BS-9 under AOO/MYP who was removed from service vide OS/C/KYC letter dated 10, 8, 2017 is hereby put back on duty with immediate effect.
