Roberries, snatching on the rise in Islamabad

The incidents of robberies and snatching at gunpoint registered an upward trend during the last week as various police stations of the city registered over seven cases wherein citizens were deprived of cash and valuables worth millions of rupees. According to data gathered by Business Recorder here on Saturday, various police stations of the city registered seven cases of theft, burglary and snatching at gunpoint, five cases of kidnapping, three cases of auto theft and one case of murder during the last week.
During the period under review, Aabpara police station registered overall three cases of robbery, murder and auto theft. One Asim lodged a complaint with Aabpara police station that unknown robbers broke locks of his house and took away cash and gold ornaments, adding nobody was present in the house at the time of the incident.
In another incident, Shaukat Masih lodged a complaint with Aabpara police station that Ali Rasool has killed his son. During the period, thieves stole a bike LR-797 of Javed Masih from the limits of the same police station. Industrial Area police station registered two cases of auto theft. One Haq Nawaz informed Industrial Area police station that unknown people intercepted him at Sector I-8 and snatched cash from him.
Another Muhammad Oyas lodged a complaint with Industrial Area police station that unknown robbers stole gold ornaments, cash and other valuables from his house. During the aforementioned period, one case each of auto theft and kidnapping was reported to Sabzi Mandi police station. Auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number RIP-1056 of one Suhail Ahmed parked outside his house.
Another Atta Farooq lodged a complaint with Sabzi Mandi police station that unknown persons have kidnapped his brother Gull Badin. Karachi Company, Golra, Nilor and Lohi Bher police stations registered four cases of robbery. During the period, four cases of kidnapping were reported to Kohsar, Bani Gala, Shahzad Town and Koral police stations.
