The victims of Model Town massacre staged protest in front of the Civil Secretariat. These protesters, including those from outside the Lahore city, said they had serious objections to the Justice Baqir Najfi report. Some important paragraphs have been deleted from the report, they added. They demanded release of a verified report otherwise they would continue with their campaign for justice against the murder of 14 innocent people in the hands of police.
A full bench of Lahore High Court had directed to release Najfi report on Tuesday that was followed by a press conference of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah for release of the report. However, some ambiguities were yet pointed out by a section of media, particularly regarding the dates given in the report last night.
It was followed by a protest by the PAT workers outside the Civil Secretariat, demanding release of the original and verified report. A protest by the PAT workers, coupled with VIP movement of Mayor of London, resulted into a traffic mess in major parts of the city and commuters remained stuck up for long.
