Khattak lauds performance of police officials

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Pervez Khattak has appreciated the performance of police in operation against terrorists during attack on Directorate of Agriculture and battled with bravery to kill the terrorist. Presiding over a high-level meeting regarding law and order situation, Khattak announced cash prizes and commendation certificates to those police jawans who showed excellent performance.
Chief Secretary Mohammad Azam Khan, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Salahuddin Mehsud, MPA Shaukat Yousafzai, Secretary Information, Qaiser Alam and Commissioner Peshawar, Fakhare Alam also attended the meeting. The chief minister stressed need for full time preparation and to bring further improvement in the prior intelligence, increase in security level and facing of challenges. The Chief Minister termed the response of police against terrorists as appreciate able and assured provision of more resources for the training of police.
Pervez Khattak also directed taking of all steps for bringing improvement in security and assured equipping of police force with all necessary equipment to make more effective. He termed more activeness and readiness of police as compared to past as welcoming.
He paid tributes to both police and Pakistan army for taking timely action and directed the making of SOPs more effective and a re-review of the security. He further directed the review of the security of schools to strengthen them. For bringing further improvement in the security situation, the meeting also decided to take clerics and religious leadership into confidence. Meanwhile, talking to the media after enquiring about the health of the injured of Agriculture Directorate terrorist attack, the chief minister said that control on terrorism will be possible only when both Pakistan and Afghanistan framed a joint line of action and worked for its implementation.
