The teams of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) disconnected power supply to 2 tube-wells and street-lights at Kohat City in recovery campaign against public and private sector power defaulters. An amount of Rs 10.80 was outstanding against these installations. Similarly, power supply to 7 tube-wells of TMA Bannu was also disconnected due to non-payment of Rs 7.3 Million.
The Pesco teams also disconnected power supply to 7 street lights in Hangu, water supply schemes at Tall, degree college Tall due to non-payment of Rs 1.7 million. Power supply disconnected to irrigation tube wells Pehur, Lahore and Swabi due to non-payment of Rs 4.6 million. Power supply to WSS Jinnahabad Mardan, Indus tobacco Industry, Shad Pipe Industrial state Mardan was also disconnected due to non-payment of Rs 1.89 million.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of Pesco has warned all the defaulter government departments and private defaulter customers are warned to immediately deposit their outstanding dues, otherwise their power supply will be disconnected immediately, and strict action will also be taken. In case of non-payment of arrears, disconnection of the premises, arresting of the defaulters and confiscation of the property will also be done, under the new rules.
