Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said that every village will be made neat and clean and the rural population will enjoy the neat and clean atmosphere around them due to Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf Dehat Programme (KPSDP). He said this while chairing a high-level meeting here on Thursday to review local government development package and progress on different matters pertaining to KPSDP.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz maintained that special programme of one-time cleanliness of the villages has been started and added that first three districts showing best implementing of this programme will be fully encouraged and the local bodies' leadership as well as the administrative officers efforts will be acknowledged.
He made it clear that third party audit will be compulsory with regard to implementation of this programme and any violation of the devised policy will not be tolerated. While directing to constitute monitoring teams to review the progress of cleanliness in the villages, he said that teams comprising provincial ministers, secretaries and concerned officials should submit their reports after monitoring the system of cleanliness in the districts. Moreover, in his message on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), Shahbaz Sharif has warmly congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the auspicious day of the arrival of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to this world.
