Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Thursday. However, plains of Punjab and Upper Sindh are likely to remain under shallow fog during morning hours. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," it said.
In the next 48 hours: Isolated rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds and snowfall over the hills is expected in places in Malakand and Hazara Divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA during Saturday night. Over the past 24 hours: The country remained with cold and dry weather. Temperature in Skardu was minus 4 degrees Celsius, Kalam and Quetta minus 3, each, Gupis, Gilgit and Dir minus 2, each.
