Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Thursday announced to hold a convention of youth belonging to Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) in the federal capital on December 9 to accelerate merger of tribal areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking at a press conference, KPK Minister for Information Shah Farman along with Speaker KP Assembly Asad Qaiser said that political representatives from tribal areas will participate in the convention to negate the impression the tribal people are against Fata merger. He said that a resolution will also be brought in the KPK as well as National Assembly which will expose those politicking on Fata merger, adding those who really want Fata to be streamlined would support the resolution. Farman said that the PTI will also contact Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief and other parties as they are reluctant on merger of Fata with KPK, adding if a party is not interested in helping tribal people get their rights as per 1973 Constitution, it must make it clear.
