The city police have intensified security of the provincial capital by deploying over 15,000 security personnel on duty for the protection of religious gatherings and processions during the celebrations of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). Talking to media persons, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Amin Wains said they have chalked out a comprehensive security plan for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). Sharing information of the security plan, he said at least 15,000 police personnel have been deployed on security duties across the city.
He said the field police officers will also conduct snap checking of the citizens, especially at all entry and exit points of the city. "The high-command of the police department has also directed field officers to intensify combing operations in all sensitive areas of the city so any untoward eventuality of militancy could be averted," CCPO Amin said.
