Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday said that the Punjab government has devised a system of internal audit of every project and third-party audit mechanism has also been introduced for effective monitoring. He said this while chairing a high-level meeting, here today, to review progress on different matters pertaining to Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf Pani Program (KPSPP).
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz said that the program of providing clean drinking water is a mega initiative of public interest and, therefore, there is a dire need to move this program forward in an organized and professional manner. He said success can be achieved, if one is sincere in providing best services to the people. "You should move further as a team and make this program a success," he said, adding: "This program will help to provide clean drinking water to the people, which is their basic right and we all shall jointly work to give this right to the people of the province." Chief Secretary, Chairman Saaf Pani Company South Chaudhry Arif Saeed, Chairman P&D, Secretary Housing and concerned officials attended the meeting.
