Chairman NAB, former Justice Javed Iqbal, sought preliminary report of the inquiry being conducted by NAB Rawalpindi Regional Bureau against alleged corruption, leakage of different question papers and other irregularities in National Testing Service as per the complaints received to NAB against NTS.
The Chairman, a month ago, has ordered NAB Rawalpindi Director General to conduct inquiry on receiving several complaints against the NTS. The complaints included frequent outing of question papers, alleged corrupt practices and failure to protect interests of students. The NAB Rawalpindi has also been assigned to probe those responsible of allowing the NTS to conduct various examinations despite the presence of Provincial and Federal Service Commissions, said a press release.
NAB Rawalpindi has also been assigned to probe reasons of NTS's failure in devising a fool proof, transparent and merit based examination system, which has utterly failed in serving student's interests. The allegedly non-transparent system of examination of NTS has not only jeopardized the future of thousands of students but also squandered their precious amounts, which has no moral or legal bases.-PR
