TEHRAN: Iran's recent win over Trinidad and Tobago has seen them move up one place in the World FIFA rankings released on Thursday.

Iran moved up to 29th place in the rankings and remain Asia's top team.

Carlos Queiroz's men edged past Trinidad and Tobago 1-0 as part of their preparation for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in Tehran's Azadi Stadium on November 15.

The top five Asian teams remained unchanged in the rankings with Australia securing their position as the second best Asian team. Japan are the third best Asian team. South Korea are the fourth best and Saudi Arabia are the fifth best team in Asia.

Belgium remain top of the global rankings, with France second and Brazil third.
