JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has convened a joint meeting of the Central Shura and provincial amirs and general secretaries in Lahore on December 8, 2017 (Friday). The central secretary general JUI-F Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidery has dispatched invitation and agenda of the meeting to members. According to Central Deputy Secretary General, Maulana Mohammad Amjad Khan, besides national and international situation, the meeting will also brief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on progress made regarding the restoration of Muthahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) so far.
He said that the meeting will also finalize strategy for the upcoming general elections. He urged the party workers to fully concentrate on the coming election as JUI-F will fully participate and will bravely face secular forces to defeat them. To a question, Maulana Mohammad Amjad said that the deferment of the polls can create new crisis and the nation will not accept any such decision, saying that the deferment can push the country towards any new constitutional crisis.
He said that the country is passing through a critical period and postponement of polls will create new crisis. He said that JUI-F is in favour of timely general elections and completion of the tenure of the present assemblies. However, he termed the enforcement of Islamic system the only way out from the crises, saying for this purpose the nation will have to vote pious leadership.
The JUI-F stalwart said that the nation is eyeing pious leadership as only then can get the country rid of the crisis. He said that JUI-F is making efforts for the enforcement of the Islamic judicious system and for the achievement of this goal it wanted to gather all religious forces on one platform to block the flood of the secularism.
