Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has expressed concern over the deteriorated law and order situation that new wave of terrorism would be harmful for the stability of county. He was addressing a public meeting in Kotla Mohsin Khan PK-4 Peshawar on this occasion Abid Mast Khel. Sobat Khan, Haji Shoaib, Sohail Khan and Ahmad Shah Bacha announced to join QWP with family members and scores of supporters.
Sherpao said that the people had rendered numerous sacrifices in the war against terrorism for the sake of the country. He asked the government to device a policy keeping in view the welfare of the masses to eradicate terrorism and ensure their protection.
He said that the prevailing uncertain situation by a religious group in Islamabad had badly put the lives of the people on the standstill. He said that federal government had failed to control the situation and even after the passage of 18 days lives of the general public are miserable. He said that the federal government had completely failed to control the situation.
QWP chief lasted out PTI leadership for taking the Fata-KP merger issue to apex court. He said that the issue is related to parliament and it is deplorable to involve the judiciary. He regretted that PTI aimed at curtaining the powers of parliament. He said that PTI move was onslaught on parliament. He said that the time of the general public and courts has been wasted due to the non issues in the country like Panama papers and put the real issues on the backburner. He asked the federal government to ensure the merger of Fata -KP as early as possible and any dillydallying in this regard should not be tolerated.
The party chairman reiterated that all the political parties are mutually agreed upon the merger issue but even then the federal government had not been done anything practical in this regard by keeping in view the interest of allies in the federal government. He asked prime minister of Pakistan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to fulfill the ex Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif promises made with the smaller provinces.
He said that QWP prioritizing the rule of law and democratic process in the country. He urged the federal government to stop hurting the sentiments of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by limiting its development agenda only to Punjab. He said that the aim of Qaumi Watan Party is for the Pakhtun rights. He added that the only objective of the QWP was welfare of Pakhtun and it would struggle for their cause.
