Former prime minister and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Saturday held a consultative meeting at his Raiwind residence to discuss some important issues amid situation arising out after protests and roads blockades by a religious outfit in Lahore and other parts of the country.
Matters pertaining to Faizabad sit-in and administration operation, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references and the party's future agenda in the wake of current situation were discussed, sources said. "It was decided to take all the political forces on board to handle the situation peacefully," they added.
The sources claimed that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, federal ministers including Khawaja Saad Rafique, Hamza Shahbaz, Senator Pervaiz Rashid and others attended the meeting.
