Customs authorities foiled attempt of smuggling 214,000 Saudi Riyal to Afghanistan by arresting an Afghan national at Pak-Afghan border at Torkham. The Afghan national Khalid Daniyal son of Khurshid Akbar was going to Afghanistan when customs authorities at Torkham border checked his luggage through scanning machine and found 214,000 Saudi Riyal in it.
The value of the Saudi Arabian currency is stated to be Rs 5.8 million. The customs authorities after arresting the accused took the Saudi Riyal into possession and registered a case against him. Furthermore investigations were in progress.
