Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) former Justice Javed Iqbal on Saturday ordered probing alleged irregularities in 56 public limited companies of Punjab.
Taking notice of the reported prevalence of alleged corruption, nepotism, squandering of resources, tendering, procurement, irregularities, appointment of favorites, non-transparency in projects, violations of PPRA rules, complaints of not conducting performance and regular audit by the public limited companies, the Chairman NAB ordered the Director General NAB, Lahore to conduct inquiries against the companies, says a press release issued here on Saturday.
The chairman NAB also directed DG NAB Lahore to avoid stopping any company from working sans availability of evidence against the company. The relevant laws must be complied with in this regard.-PR
