Under the leadership of its President Shoaib Savul, the Sindh Swimming Association organized and conducted the McDonalds 22nd National Boy's Age-Group Swimming Championship 2017 under the auspices of the Pakistan Swimming Federation at the PNS Karsaz Swimming pool on the 11th and 12th November 2017. Swimmers from Punjab, KPK, Islamabad, Balochistan, Sindh and the Pakistan Navy competed in the 2-day event in 3 age group categories - 12 & Under, 13-14 and 15-16.
It was an impressive event with most swimmers giving their best times. A total of 11 national junior records were bettered. Marketing Director Jamil Mughal of McDonald's and Cmdr Saqib Jamil Khattak of the Pakistan Navy were the Guest of Honor at the colorful and impressive closing ceremony. Team Sindh won the overall Championship Trophy with a total of 1045 points with Team Punjab winning the Runners up Trophy. Team KPK was in 3rd position. Best swimmer in the 12 and Under category was Daniyal Ghulam Nabi from Team Punjab, Zeeshan Abbas won Best Swimmer in the 13-14 Age Group from Team Sindh and Muhammad Babar from Team Sindh won Best Swimmer in the 15-16 Age Group.-PR
