'Green productivity': E-learning training course ends at UET Peshawar
A four-day e-learning training course on "Green Productivity" was completed at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar. The training course was held under the auspices of Asian Productivity Organization (APO), an international non-profit organization that contributes to the sustainable development of Asia and Pacific for through enhancing productivity.
The training was facilitated by UET Peshawar's Quality Assurance Cell. Professor Dr Iftikhar Hussain, Vice chancellor UET Peshawar was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Dr Iftikhar Hussain said, "APO has been conducting Green Productivity course since 1990s which addresses both productivity and sustainability needs."
Abdul Ghafar, CEO National Productivity Organization, Pakistan said that APO strengthens the capability of the National Productivity Organizations (NPOs) and other institutions to provide productivity promotion, training, and consultancy services to the public and private sectors. It facilitates the dissemination and exchange of information on productivity among its members and other stakeholders. Almost 25 members including academic from UET Peshawar, consulting firms and National Productivity Organizations participated from Pakistan while representatives from Sri Lanka. India, Bangladesh, Tokyo, Nepal, Afghanistan and others attended the course simultaneously.
