The Met Office has forecast rain-dust-thunderstorm with gusty winds for upper and some central parts of the country during the next week. According to the Met, a weather system is likely to enter Pakistan on next Monday to trigger rain-dust-thunderstorm with gusty winds in several parts of the country.
Under the new weather system, rain/thunderstorm associated with gusty winds is expected at scattered places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from Monday to Thursday. Isolated heavy fall is also likely in Malakand and Hazara Divisions and Kashmir from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Rain and dust-thunderstorms are expected at scattered places of Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore and Faisalabad Divisions and Islamabad from Monday to Wednesday. Rain/thunderstorm with gusty winds expected at isolated places of Quetta, Zhob, DG Khan, Multan and Sahiwal divisions on Monday and Tuesday. Rain/thunderstorm with strong winds is expected in Islamabad/Rawalpindi from Tuesday to Thursday. Isolated hailstorm is also likely. It is to be noted that Hailstorm is also expected at a few places of Upper Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir over the period.
