Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Preventive on Monday claimed to have recovered substantial quantity of cell phones worth Rs 2.4 million from two female passengers arrived from UAE. According to details, both female passengers, who were coming from UAE via flight FZ-333, were intercepted at arrival hall and asked them to declare if any contraband item was in possession. On their refusal, the staff posted at airport frisked both passengers and recovered 110 cell phones worth Rs 2.4 million. Customs officials said that both passengers were taken into custody and department took their remand from the court. Further investigation was underway.
