Pakistan on Wednesday expressed serious concerns over the arrest and detention of senior Kashmir leaders to prevent them from attending Pakistan Day reception at the High Commission in New Delhi and called for their release. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said that Pakistan expresses its serious concern on the arrest/ detention of Hurriyat leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik, Shabbir Shah, Asiya Andrabi and others, in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, preventing them from attending Pakistan National Day reception at Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi, on 23rd March, 2017.
