On Friday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,018. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.31 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,531. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 2.76 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.06 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 336.00 million, silver PKR 113.15 million, copper PKR 30.06 million and Brent crude oil PKR 0.489 million.
In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 2 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 0.818 million were also traded.
