Ministry of Ports and Shipping has granted first ever license to operate ferry service for domestic and international passengers and cargo. According to a statement issued here on Monday, the Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo issued this very first license of ferry cruise service to Chairman Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) Arif Ilahi.
Director General (P&S) Asad Rafi Chaandna and Director PNSC Brigadier Rashid Siddiqi were also present on the occasion. This NOC is to operate a ferry service for domestic and international passengers and cargo. The NOC is authorized by the Government of Pakistan and Ministry of Ports and Shipping.
PNSC has been granted an approval by the Inter-Ministerial Committee. This license will make the PNSC capable to facilitate passengers across Pakistan in both domestic and international voyages through the ferry ships. It will also pave way and open new avenues in shipping sector. Its another achievement for PNSC after AA rating and historical national flag carrier duties. Now, PNSC will be in process to commence ferry service very soon for pilgrims, the statement said.-PR
