Iranian Consul General Mohammad Hossein Bani Assadi has said that Iranian airlines would start operations with initially two flights per week - one from Lahore and one from Karachi to Tehran in near future. He was talking to President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Abdul Basit while LCCI former president Syed Mohsin Raza Bokhari was also present on the occasion. He said Iran has completed its part of fiber optic cable to improve the telecommunication structure between the two countries.
The Iranian Consul General stressed the need for increasing interaction between the business communities of the two countries. He also emphasised on holding single country exhibition and exchange of sector-specific delegations between Iran and Pakistan. The LCCI President said that Pakistani government has a plan to send a team to Iran for revisiting the gas sale purchase agreement which would go a long way and provide an effective solution to country's energy crisis.
