A bridge was partially damaged when a bomb explosion took place under the bridge on main Sur Bandar road in Gwadar on Sunday morning. According to police sources, police received information regarding presence of a bomb under a bridge. However, it went off before arrival of the bomb disposal squad.
The bridge has been partially damaged in the incident while no loss of life has been reported.
According to police, it was a remote-controlled bomb weighing around 5 to 7 kilograms.
Gwadar, in Balochistan province, forms what officials call the "heart" of the China Pakistan-Economic Corridor.
Four injured: Meanwhile, At least four people were injured in a hand grenade attack of miscreants. Police said that the culprits hurled a hand grenade at people present at Cinema Chowk in Turbat which exploded with big bang. Four people were injured in the attack and the assailants fled from the scene of the crime.
The injured were shifted to hospital and the police after registering a case against the attackers started raids for their arrest.
