Investigation of corruption in Pakistan Super League (PSL) second season has been widened. Sources told that Nasir Jamshed's passport was confiscated by the National Crime Agency in Britain. The left-hand batsman is the alleged character behind fixing matter. The British authorities had earlier arrested Nasir Jamshed on allegations of cricket corruption.
Also, Mohammad Irfan and Shahzaib Hasan were included in the investigation by Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). However, PCB had earlier stated that both these players were innocent. They also stated that Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif would be presented in front of the three-member tribunal soon.
On the other hand, PCB submitted initial investigation report of PSL 2017 fixing to interior minister. According to the report, it was revealed that the players had deleted theirr messages from mobile phones FIA and other investigative agencies have started to dig deep into the PSL 2 fixing case. Chaudhry Nisar has also assured that the investigation will bring fruitful result.
