On Thursday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,009. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.11 billion and the number of lots traded was 16,720. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 2.29 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 2.14 billion, gold PKR 1.55 billion, silver PKR 94.88 million, copper PKR 26.98 million and Brent crude oil PKR.88 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 24 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 9.78 million were also traded.
