Two-day SME conference from March 15

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) is holding a two-day International SME Conference here in the provincial metropolis on March 15-16, 2017. According to SMEDA spokesman, the delegates from USA, UK, Turkey, Japan, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Germany and China will attend the conference.
Federal Minster Industries and Production Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi will be the chief guest of the conference, while Federal Secretary Industries and Production Khizar Hayat Gondal, Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Rector University of Management and Technology (UMT), Dr Hassan Sohaib Murad, Professor of George Masson University, USA Dr Rebecca Fox will also attend the conference.
The representatives of the private and public sector business promotion organisations including State Bank of Pakistan, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Pakistan Stock Exchange, Leasing Association of Pakistan, Akhuwat Foundation, FPCCI, Bank Alfalah, Association of Management Development Institutes, University of Lahore and the University of Management and Technology (UMT) will be present on the occasion.
Commenting on the SME conference, SMEDA chief executive officer Sher Ayub said, "We have decided to hold second conference after successful manifestation of the first one wherein academia and research institutions engaged in SME Development took part." Now the second conference has taken the international institutions into loop to avail of the best SME Development research conducted in the world. No viable and long-term development policy and planning could be evolved without first-hand research, he said.
