Members of Chinese delegation from China National Electric Engineering Company Ltd (CNEEC) visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development & Management Company's (KPEZDMC) head office to meet prominent industrialists of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The meeting was held to discuss the progress on construction and development of Rashakai Special Economic Zone, (RSEZ) and explore investment opportunities. The industrialists were given an update on the opportunities, time lines of plot allotment and construction & developmental work.
Industrialists discussed opportunities arising from CPEC and Rashakai Special Economic Zone and showed keen interest in forming joint ventures with the Chinese in different fields, according to official communiqué issued by the company on Thursday.
The Chinese delegation was updated on the application process and the status of RSEZ application submitted to the Federal Board of Investment. Board member, KPEZDMC Adeel Rauf expressed satisfaction on the pace of industrialisation in the Province and initiative taken by KPEZDMC.
President of Industrialists Association of Peshawar Ghazanfar Bilour thanked the Chinese delegation for visiting KPEZDMC office and holding an interactive session with industrialists. The Government of KP recently entered into an agreement with the CNEEC to develop RSEZ. The agreement further involves establishing of a 180MW-230MW Combined Cycle Cooling, Heating power plant to facilitate the industries operating in the SEZ. This agreement will mutually benefit and strength relations of both the countries creating numerous investment & employment opportunities in the region.
