Kanji Ram appointed convener MACP

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has appointed MPA Kanji Ram as convener Minority Advisory Council Punjab (MACP). A notification in this regard has been issued by the Punjab Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Department, here on Thursday. Provincial Minister for HR&MA Khalil Tahir Sandhu handed over the notification to Kanji Ram.
Secretary Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Department Punjab Asim Iqbal, Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Tariq Gill and Member Provincial Assembly Shehzad Munshi were also present on the occasion. MPA Kanji Ram has been appointed as convener of MACP for recognition of his services for the protection and promotion of human rights and minorities as well as his untiring efforts for creation of religious harmony and inter-faith tolerance among different communities of the province.
MPAs Shazia Tariq, Sardar Amesh Singh Arora, Julicious Rofin, religious leaders from Hindu and other minorities have congratulated Kanji Ram over his appointment as Convener of MACP and ensure their full support for his efforts for the uplift and betterment of minorities in Punjab.
