The profit after tax of Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited has increased to Rs 1.276 billion in the year ended December 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 1.232 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2015. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 207.24 in the period under review against Rs 200.09 in the same period a year back.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Wednesday recommended a final cash dividend of Rs 278.00 ie 2,780 percent per ordinary share of Rs 10 each, in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 90.97 per ordinary share, already paid during the year.
The total dividend for the year 2016 amounts to Rs 368.97 per share as compared to Rs 150.00 paid in 2015. This will be payable to the members on the number of ordinary shares held by them at the close of business on April 06, 2017. According to the financial results, the company's sales increased to Rs 9.466 billion in 2016 against Rs 8.571 billion in 2015. The cost of sales increased to Rs 5.264 billion in 2016 against Rs 4.738 billion in 2015. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 1.767 billion in 2016 against Rs 1.665 billion in 2015.
