Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Sajjad Ali Shah passed away in Karachi, his family sources confirmed. The 84-year-old Sajjad Ali Shah had been suffering from health issues over the past few days. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.
Sajjad Ali Shah remained Chief Justice of Pakistan from June 4, 1994 to December 2, 1997.-NNI Monitoring Desk adds: Meanwhile, Aaj News reported on Tuesday night Sajjad Ali Shah was laid to rest in Wadi-e-Hussain graveyard.
Earlier, his namaz-e-janaza was held where incumbent Chief Justice, politicians and social figures attended.
