Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) on Monday held as many as 113 power pilferers during crackdown against power pilferage in provincial capital. PESCO Surveillance WAPDA House team raided in different areas of Peshawar Circle and nabbed 113 accused of electricity theft.
During checking in the areas of Chamkani, Dabgary, Gulbahar and Daudzai Sub-Divisions of Peshawar Circle and nabbed user of domestic and commercial connections, PESCO spokesman said.
The power meters of Khattak Medical Centre, Prime CT Scan and Meezan Bank were found washed. Similarly, 43 152 pending were also found in the meters of Sabz Ali Market, while several tampered meters and direct connection were also identified.
Meanwhile, PESCO notified power suspension from 132 KV Peshawar Cantt Grid Station on March 9 from 8:00 am to11:00 am, resultantly consumers of 11 KV Warsak Road-2, New Industrial, Pir Bala feeders will face inconvenience.
